BEFORE YOU START

A ready workspace for Vault.

Sign in as the server owner or with Manage Server permission. Open Vault, choose the correct server inside the app, and check its connection. Each app needs its own Discord installation consent.

New to Guildryx? Follow Getting started first

Configure the required channels, roles, and access before enabling and saving. Saving applies to this app in the selected server.

STEP 01

Allow settings snapshots

  1. Install Vault and open its workspace. Select Allow managers to capture settings snapshots.
  2. Enable Vault and save. Snapshot commands require the server owner or live Manage Server permission.
  3. This feature covers Guildryx settings. It does not back up Discord messages, members, channels, or full server structure.
STEP 02

Save and list a snapshot

  1. Use /vault-snapshot inside the server to capture its currently saved Guildryx configuration.
  2. Use /vault-snapshots to list recent snapshots for that same server.
  3. Vault retains up to the latest ten snapshots per server. Capture after deliberate configuration changes so the records are useful.
  4. Snapshots exclude bot credentials and Discord message content. They are not exported ticket transcripts.
STEP 03

Know the current recovery boundary

  1. Snapshot restore, comparison, scheduled capture and mapped templates are unavailable. There is no restore command.
  2. A saved snapshot is a settings record, not a guarantee that deleted Discord content can be recovered.
  3. Pause Vault and save to stop current snapshot commands. Use the Privacy Policy and support portal for data questions.
COMMAND REFERENCE

Commands & controls

Use these controls for the current release inside the relevant Discord server. Discord’s command picker supplies required options; app-specific permissions still apply.

/vault-snapshot

Capture this server’s Guildryx settings as a reference.

/vault-snapshots

List recent saved settings snapshots.

ACCESS & DATA

What this app needs and keeps

Discord access

Snapshot commands require Manage Server access. Vault does not request Administrator through its public invite and does not gain permission to recreate roles or channels by taking a snapshot.

Stored information

Vault stores up to ten exact-schema settings snapshots per server. It does not include bot credentials, environment variables, Discord message archives, or voice recordings.

Vault captures and lists Guildryx settings snapshots. It does not restore settings or back up Discord channels, roles, messages, members or attachments.

Troubleshooting

I cannot use a snapshot command

Check Vault and snapshot collection are enabled, you own the server or have Manage Server, and Discord integration command permissions allow access.

An older snapshot is missing

Only the latest ten snapshots are retained for the server. Another server’s snapshots are not listed here.

I cannot restore a server

Restore is not implemented. Vault snapshots currently preserve Guildryx configuration records, not a full Discord server backup.

Still stuck? Check Service Status, then contact private support with the app, server ID, and the error. Never send a password, bot token, or backup code.
