Beacon documentation
Publish a deliberate, manager-written announcement to your saved channel.

A ready workspace for Beacon.
Sign in as the server owner or with Manage Server permission. Open Beacon, choose the correct server inside the app, and check its connection. Each app needs its own Discord installation consent.
New to Guildryx? Follow Getting started first
Configure the required channels, roles, and access before enabling and saving. Saving applies to this app in the selected server.
Choose where announcements go
- Install Beacon and open its server workspace. Select Announcement channel.
- Confirm Beacon can view and send messages in that text or announcement channel, and you can view it too.
- Enable Beacon and save. This authorizes explicit manager publishing; it does not start an automatic feed.
Publish your first update
- As the owner or a member with Manage Server, use /beacon-publish inside the server.
- Enter the announcement in the message option, between 1 and 1,500 characters. Check the text before submitting: the command posts it immediately to the saved channel.
- Follow the reply’s message link to verify delivery. Mentions do not send mass notifications.
- If delivery is uncertain, check the channel before submitting again. A repeated new command can create a new announcement.
Keep manual and scheduled updates separate
- Automatic RSS and social feeds are unavailable.
- For recurring messages, use the separate Flow app and its saved schedule. Installing both does not connect them automatically.
- Pause Beacon and save to stop new manager publications through this app.
Commands & controls
Use these controls for the current release inside the relevant Discord server. Discord’s command picker supplies required options; app-specific permissions still apply.
/beacon-publishPublish a manager-written announcement to the saved channel.
What this app needs and keeps
Discord access
Managers choose the destination, and Beacon needs permission to view it and send messages. Installing Beacon does not subscribe your server to feeds or grant other services permission to post.
Stored information
The current release stores announcement-channel settings. It does not continuously poll social accounts or build a historical archive of announcements.
Beacon publishes manager-written announcements through /beacon-publish. It does not monitor RSS feeds, social networks or external webhooks.
Troubleshooting
The saved channel is unavailable
Choose an existing text or announcement channel and allow Beacon View Channel and Send Messages. Reload the workspace after updating Discord access.
Publishing is denied
Check that Beacon is enabled and you are the server owner or have Manage Server. Review integration command permissions too.
An RSS update never arrived
RSS delivery is not active yet. Use explicit /beacon-publish for current announcements or Flow for scheduled text.
Still stuck? Check Service Status, then contact private support with the app, server ID, and the error. Never send a password, bot token, or backup code.
